We woke up in the beautiful historical state of Melaka. Our day started with a walking tour of the area where we visited Christ church, which was built in 1753 and was built by the Dutch.
The square was really beautiful and characterised with water fountains. We then walked down Harmony street where we found that it is called this because it was where a muslim mosque, a Hindu Temple and Buddist temple are on the same street peacefully.
We were then then greeted by the scent of wonderful baking and the shop keeper kindly offered us all a taste of her baked goods. We tasted pineapple roll, chicken and black bean pie, which tasty light and surprisingly all sweet. My favourite being the pineapple roll. We went ont to taste cendol which is like a Malasian ice cream, very sweet.
