Singapore Galore

So it's meant to be day  2  (officially) but it's our day 1. Wow what a day it was.

So we started our tour with our guide Arnad (Happy), Who gave us a brief history of Singapore which was very interesting. We also heard how the Singapore got its name, and about colonial history and a prestige hotel were British royalty have stayed. We saw the monument that looks like chopsticks that represent those who died in the war.

We learnt that Singapore is based on Feng shi and they like to get good luck....and we were taken to the fountain of wealth, which represents getting wealth.

Here is more interesting facts we learned and sights we saw:

• Singapore flyer which is the biggest wheel in Asia were you can see the whole island
• The icon of Singapore is the Malyen head of lion and body of a fish 
• City hall is where they were given their independence from Malaysia 
• Shop houses were owners lived and worked in the past
• Chinese temple which was built when the Chinese came over
• China Town (a place vibrant with people, food and goods)

After a day so packed it was time for the coach ride back to Malaysia.
